These devices are mounted as per the manufacturer and are calibrated to give you the early warning necessary for anyone present to safely evacuate the area.
Smoke Detector:
A fire can be detected in different ways. The first way is by the use of a photoelectric smoke detector. This detector works best on smoldering fires that may be produced when a fabric oriented product begins to burn. The second way is by an ionization detector. This device measures the ion particles that are present in the air when an open fire created by quick igniting products begins to burn. When installed as per the manufacturer and code, these devices will allow you the time to safely and quickly exit the building. Depending on the laws in your area, there may be regulations regarding the placement.
Rate of Rise/Heat Detector:
Used in areas that may be environmentally unstable for a smoke or ionization detector, these devices detect the presence of fire by the quick change in temperature or the slow rise in the temperature of the area. Garages, attics, furnace rooms, kitchens and storage areas are some of the locations you may find these devices installed in. Depending on the laws in your area, there may be regulations regarding the placement.

A $99.00 INSTALLATION FEE AND THE FIRST YEAR MONITORING OF $35.95 PLUS TAX MUST BE COLLECTED AT THE TIME OF INSTALLATION. A THREE YEAR CENTRAL STATION MONITORING CONTRACT MUST BE SIGNED. THE MONTHLY MONITORING FEE WILL BE BILLED QUARTERLY IN ADVANCE AFTER THE FIRST YEAR.
