Control Panel: This unit controls all of the system functions. It contains the processor that transmits monitoring information to the central station as well as the power supply and the rechargeable battery.
Keypads: This device gives you full control of your system. It gives you the ability to arm and disarm your security system using a personal security code as well as giving you the ability to reset and activate other fire and security options. These stations are usually located near the most frequently used door in a business or residence as well as the bedroom area of a residence.
Inside Siren: If an intruder tries to break-in, the sound of the siren will emit that lets intruders and your family know that the security system has been triggered. This unit is normally located in the common hall area or bedroom area of a home. An outside siren can also be installed. This siren is usually located in an attic vent. Installing the siren in the attic hides the unit from outside view as well as preventing anyone from tampering with the unit.
Door or Window Contact: Triggers the alarm if a secured door or window is opened while the system is armed. This device is hermetically sealed from the environment. It can me surface mounted in view or installed inside the frame of a window or door. Wireless contacts as well as wired contacts can be used with the control panel.
Motion Detector: These devices utilize dual technology to eliminate the possibility of false alarms due to environmental changes that are not caused by intruders. Located inside the premise in open areas, triggered by movement and body heat these units will activate the alarm to alert the authorities of an intrusion. Today's technology allows us to offer this type of wide area protection even if pets are present. Glassbreak Detector: This unit was developed by the security industry to eliminate the foil or metal tape that use to protect glass. Using an audio receiving device to listen to the area around glass, the unit activates upon detecting the frequency and sound of breaking glass. This dual type of technology helps the unit ignore the sounds of thunderstorms, telephones and other common noises.
Carbon Monoxide Detector: Carbon monoxide (CO) is an odorless, colorless, toxic gas that can kill in minutes. Professionally installed monitored carbon monoxide detectors can play a critical role in saving lives. These devices are mounted as per the manufacturer and are calibrated to give you the early warning necessary for anyone present to safely evacuate the area.
Smoke Detector: A fire can be detected in different ways. The first way is by the use of a photoelectric smoke detector. This detector works best on smoldering fires that may be produced when a fabric oriented product begins to burn. The second way is by an ionization detector. This device measures the ion particles that are present in the air when an open fire created by quick igniting products begins to burn. When installed as per the manufacturer and code, these devices will allow you the time to safely and quickly exit the building. Depending on the laws in your area, there may be regulations regarding the placement.
Rate of Rise/Heat Detector: Used in areas that may be environmentally unstable for a smoke or ionization detector, these devices detect the presence of fire by the quick change in temperature or the slow rise in the temperature of the area. Garages, attics, furnace rooms, kitchens and storage areas are some of the locations you may find these devices installed in. Depending on the laws in your area, there may be regulations regarding the placement.
